World number one pair, Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis today stormed into the Final of the year-ending WTA Finals in Singapore. The Indo-Swiss pair, which secured this year's WTA Year-End World No. 1 Doubles Ranking, defeated the third placed Chinese Taipei duo of Chan Hao-ching and Chan Yung-jan, 6-4, 6-2.In the Final, Sania and Hingis will play the winner of the other semi-final between the Spanish pair of Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro, and the Czech team of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka.In the round-robin stage, Sania and Hingis had topped the red group with victories in all the three games.Top-8 players and pairs of the year, divided into two round-robin groups – red and white – participate in this tournament each year.Top two from each group progress to the semi-finals, followed by the Final.Sania had won this tournament last year with Zimbabwean Cara Black.Sania and Martina, as a pair have won 8 titles this season including Wimbledon and US Open.
