Sania Mirza is the lone Indian contender left in the US Open Tennis tournament being held in New York, after Rohan Bopanna crashed out at the quarterfinal stage. Sania along with Shuai Peng of China yesterday reached the the quarter-finals of women's doubles.Earlier, Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski failed to continue the momentum and faced defeat in the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles.The seventh seeded Indo-Canadian pair lost to third seeded Hao-Ching Chan of Chinese Taipei and New Zealand Michael Venus 6-4, 3-6, 8-10 in a match that lasted one hour and four minutes.
