Sania Mirza and Cara Black fail to make it to the women's doubles final of the US Open

Martina Hingis and her Italian partner Flavia Pennetta have defeated the Indo-Zimbabwean pair of Sania Mirza and Cara Black to reach the US Open Tennis Women's doubles final. The 33-year-old Swiss comeback queen Hingis and Pennetta made the championship match with a 6-3, 6-4 win over third seeds Sania and Cara. In the final tomorrow, Hingis and Pennetta, who are playing their first Grand Slam tournament together, will face Russian fourth seeds Elena Vesnina and Ekaterina Makarova for the title.On Wednesday night, Sania Mirza along with Brazilian Bruno Soares beat the combination of Yung-Jan Chan and Ross Hutchins to reach the US Open mixed doubles final. The two will meet unseeded Abigail Spears and Santiago Gonzalez in the final tonight
