Sania Mirza was knocked out of the ASB Classic WTA tournament with a straight-sets loss to Italian Francesca Schiavone in Auckland on Wednesday. Sania failed to win even a single game in the opening set as her fourth seed opponent Schiavone handed her a 0-6, 3-6 defeat in the hard court event. Sania had already crashed out of the doubles event with her new partner Spaniard Virginia Pascual in the first round of the tournament 1-6, 6-7 on Tuesday.
