Top ranked Indo-Swiss pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis won their maiden Women double Australian Open title. They beat 7th seeded Czech duo of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the finals today by 7-6, 6-3. This is Sania and Hingis eighth title on the trot. The pair already has two grands slams- Wimbledon and US Open- to its name. Sania will also be seen in the semi final action of mixed doubles today. Partnered with Croatian Ivan Dodig in the event, top seed Sania will be meeting Russian-Brazilian pair of Elena Vesnina and Bruno Soares.
