The Indo-American women's doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Bethanie Mattek-Sands has bowed out of the French Open tennis tournament. In the pre-quarterfinals in Paris today, playing against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Lucie Safarova, the Indo-American duo was leading in the second set at 5-3, after losing the first set at 6-7.At that stage, the Indo-American pair was forced to retire following a groin problem to American Bethanie. The Mixed Doubles pre-quarterfinals match between the Indo-Serbian duo of Leander Paes and Jelena Jankovic and the combination of American Liezel Huber and Brazilian Marcelo Melo is now in progress.
