India's Sania Mirza and her doubles partner Barbora Strycova from Czech Republic advanced to the third round in the Wuhan Open tennis tournament in China. The Indo-Czech duo defeated Canadian-Spanish pair Gabriela Dabrowski and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 3-6, 6-3, 10-5 in women's doubles in a second round match at Wuhan yesterday. Sania and Barbora have performed consistently well since their pairing up. Sania had paired with Strycova at the Cincinnati Open for the first time after splitting with Swiss Martina Hingis. They won the Cincinnati Open and the recently concluded Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. The duo lost only one match in the US Open where they were eliminated from the quarter finals.
