<span style="color: #222222;">Punjab cadre IPS officer Samant Goel has been appointed new chief of Research & Analysis Wing. Assam Cadre IPS officer Arvind Kumar will be new Director of Intelligence Bureau.  While Mr Goel played a key role in planning the February 2019 Balakot airstrikes and the 2016 surgical strikes, Arvind Kumar is known as the government's Kashmir expert. Both are IPS officers from 1984 batch.</span><br />
