In Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Samajwadi Party has revoked suspension of its former MLC Khwaja Haleem from the party. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that Mr. Haleem was recently inducted in the Haj state committee despite not being a member of the party. His induction in the Committee by the Haj Minister Mohammad Azam Khan had generated a controversy.Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has put the speculations to rest as he revoked the suspension of the former MLC, who was shown the doors following charges of being engaged in anti-party activities.Meanwhile, the ruling Party has constituted a five-member committee to look into the cases of alleged involvement of workers and leaders against party candidates in the recent assembly elections. The Committee has been asked to submit its report by June 15 to the state president of the party.
