Sam Pitroda: MP makes progress in area of national knowledge network

The chairman of National Innovation Council Sam Pitroda said that Madhya Pradesh has made a lot of progress in the area of national knowledge network. Talking to media after his meetings with state’s chief minister Shivraj Singh and other officials in Bhopal this evening, Mr. Pitroda said that he has recommended more participation of non governmental experts in the State Innovation Council as it is overloaded by the government experts. He said that to increase participation of private sector and common people in innovation works, there is a need of constituting a venture fund in the state on the lines of Baroda. Mr. Pitroda said that the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to develop Ujjain as Knowledge City and Bhopal as Global Environment City . He said that Bhopal needs to leave behind past and carve out anew future in a nice way.
