Salman Khurshid has taken over as the External Affairs Minister. Talking to media persons after assuming the charge of External Affairs Ministry, he said, dramatic changes have taken place and foreign affairs has shifted greatly towards economic and security issues.

Mr. Khurshid said, he will take forward the foreign office policy vision of the Prime Minister. He was briefed by the officials of his ministry including Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai on the meetings scheduled for next couple of days that include parleys with former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khalida Zia and conference of Indian Ocean Rim-Association for Regional Cooperation.
