Salman Khurshid meets UAE education Minister Sheikh Nahyan to discuss matters of mutual interest

The minister for state for corporate and minority affairs Mr. Salman Khurshid today met United Arab Emirate’s ( UAE’s) Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. According to diplomatic sources he discussed matters of mutual interest with both the leaders.<br/><br/>Earlier, on Sunday speaking at a function organised by Indian Business and Professional council (IBPC) in Dubai Mr. Salman Khurshid said that India wants entire SAARC region to be benefitted from India’s growth but security issues have to be taken in to consideration in this regard. Inviting Indian Diaspora to actively participate in the growth story of India, he said, there is a lot of scope in the services sector, infrastructure, food processing and education sector and government is committed to reduce duties and taxes apart from allocating sufficient financial resources for the agriculture sector. Elaborating on steps being taken to ensure inclusive growth, Mr. Khurshid explained in detail the policy initiatives that have been taken to draw minorities firmly into the national mainstream, in line with the recommendations of the Sachar Committee and the Ranganath Misra commission.
