The Supreme Court will today hear a plea filed by the mother of a deceased Mumbai police constable, seeking transfer of actor Salman Khan's 2002 hit-and-run case from Mumbai to Delhi. The plea has also asked for the cancellation of the bail given to the actor. The petitioner, mother of Ravindra Patil, then acting as Salman's official bodyguard, has contended that Salman's appeal should be heard by the Delhi High Court.as there was no chance of getting justice in Maharashtra in view of the bias in favour of the actor there. <br/><br/>Salman's appeal against his five-year jail term in the hit-and-run case is currently pending before the Bombay High Court.
