The much-awaited verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case involving bollywood actor Salman Khan will be pronounced today. The Bombay High Court has said that according to the law, the appellant accused Salman Khan should be present while verdict is pronounced.<br/><br/>Salman's lawyers have said that security is required while bringing the appellant accused to the court. The lawyers have told the court that Salman Khan will be present in court today. The verdict is likely to be announced today afternoon.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, much to the relief of Salman Khan, the high court observed yesterday that the prosecution has not been able 'to prove beyond reasonable doubt' that the actor was driving the car or was under the influence of alcohol on September 28, 2002, when the vehicle met with an accident. The Bombay High Court ruled that the sessions court had erred in accepting the late Ravindra Patil's evidence against Salman Khan. The high court indicated that it won't consider Patil's evidence in its verdict.
