Defending champion Saina Nehwal has advanced to the semi-finals of the Indonesian Open Super Series badminton tournament. In the quarter-final in Jakarta on Friday, Saina registered a hard-fought 21-19, 21-19 win over eighth seeded Tine Baun of Denmark. The fourth seeded Indian will now face Chinese Taipei's Shao Chieh Cheng in the semifinals today.
