Saina, Srikanth to start their campaign at India Open

The India Open Super Series badminton starts with the qualifiers in New Delhi today. Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth are the defending Singles Champions. London Olympic bronze medallist Saina will be eager to reach her peak ahead of the Rio Olympics in August. The 26-year-old, who received the Padma Bhushan award from President Pranab Mukherjee yesterday, will take on a qualifier in the opening round at the Siri Fort Complex. 23-year old Srikanth will meet Chinese seventh seed Tian Houwei in the first round. Among other Indians, P V Sindhu will start her campaign in the main draw against Jeanine Cicognini tomorrow.
