Saina, Srikanth lose their first round robin matches in World Superseries Finals <br/>

India&apos;s leading shuttlers Saina Nehwal and K. Srikanth lost their first round robin matches in the year ending prestigious World Superseries Finals in Dubai this evening. In the women&apos;s singles, Saina lost to Japanese Okuhara Nozomi. While she put up some fight in the first set, he was no match in the second. She lost 14-21, 6-21. Saina is placed in Group A along with world number one Carolina Marin, Nozomi Okuhara and Tai Tzu Ying. Srikant also lost to Japan&apos;s K. Momota in his opening match rather tamely in straight sets, 13-21, 13-21. Top eight players and no more than two players from same nation are invited for one particular event in this tournament. The players are divided into two groups and they play round robin matches to decide further tie of the tournament. For India only Saina and Srikanth were eligible players for the year ending tournament.
