Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu along with Rituparna Das and 9 pairs in various doubles event have advanced in the ongoing Indian Open Badminton Tournament.India's ace shuttler Saina registered easy victory yesterday, over her compatriot Tanvi Lad, 21-7, 21-13 to move ahead in the 2nd round of the tournament. Sindhu also defeated her opponent a qualifier from Italy Jeanine Cicognini 21-8, 21-8 in straight sets to advance in the women's singles event. Rituparna a qualifier is the other shuttler who advanced by defeating her compatriot a qualifier Anura Prabhudesai 21-18, 21-15.In the men's singles event none of the Indian shuttlers including K. Srikanth, Ajay Jayaram, HS Prannoy, Sourabh Verma and B Sai Praneeth could surge ahead as they lost their respective matches.Meanwhile, 3 Men's pair, 3 Women's pair and 3 Mixed doubles pair yesterday recorded victory to move ahead in the tournament.
