Saina, Sindhu to clash at India Super Series badminton tournament quarterfinal

A keen contest in badminton is in the offing today when India's sole Olympic medallist in badminton, P V Sindhu and another star shuttler Saina Nehwal will take on each other in the quarter final of the India Super Series 2017 tournament at the Siri Fort Sports Complex in New Delhi. This will be the second time that Sindhu and Saina will face each other at the international level. Saina had defeated Sindhu in straight games at the 2014 Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold Badminton in Lucknow.The lone Indian hope in the men's singles competition, Sameer will face Denmark's Anders Antonsen in the quarter-finals today. Earlier in the day, women's singles defending champion Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand lost to Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea 16-21, 20-22.
