Shuttlers Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and duo of Jwala Gutta-Ashwani Ponappa are the remaining members of Indian contingent in the Badminton World Championship 2015, being held at Jakarta. In the women's singles event, world number two Saina Nehwal will be seen in the quarter final action today as she takes on 6th seeded Wang Yihan of China. PV Sindhu is also figuring in the last 8 stage today, as she meets another higher seeded opponent Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea. Sindhu yesterday defeated reigning Olympic Champion and current number three Li Xuerui to enter quarter finals.In the women doubles event duo of Gutta and Ponappa will eye for a semi final berth as they meet Japanese pair of Naoko Fukuman and Kurumi Yonao in the quarter finals today. Indian contention in the men's singles event ended yesterday, as K. Srikanth and HS Prannoy crashed out of the tournament at the pre quarter final stages.
