Saina reaches quarter finals of China Masters Super series

India's Saina Nehwal has reached the quarter finals of the China Masters Super Series badminton tournament in Changzhou. In the pre-quarter finals, Saina beat Ayane Kurihara of Japan 21-11, 18-21, 27-25. She will now meet top seed Wang Yehan of China in the semi-finals. India's V.Diju and Jwala Gutta have also earned their berth in the mixed doubles quarter final, beating Korea's Yong Den Li and Jung Yun Ha 21-19, 21-17. For place in the last four, Jwala and Diju will clash with Robert Blair of Scotland and England's Gabriel White. India's P.Kashyap has been out of the tournament as he was defeated by second seed Peter Gaade of Denmark 21-18, 21-15. Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas of India also faced defeat in the doubles pre-quarter finals. Meanwhile, India's Anup Sridhar and Chetan Anand will start their campaign in the Belgium Masters Open tomorrow.
