The Indian challenge in the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament has ended. In the quarter-final in Bangkok yesterday, top seed and world number four Saina Nehwal lost to seventh seed Xuerui Li of China in straight games 13-21, 12-21. In the Men's singles, top Indian P Kashyap and young gun Sourabh Verma also lost at the quarter-final stage. Kashyap went down against top seed Chen Long of China 18-21, 5-21, while 21-year old Sourabh was beaten by third seeded Korean Sung Hwan Park. Sourabh lost in three games 21-16, 16-21, 11-21.
