In Badminton, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu today progressed to the second round of Malaysia Open. In the opening round, while third seed Saina defeated Nitchaon Jindapol of Thailand, 21-16, 21-7, Sindhu beat China's Bingjiao He, 21-16, 21-17. K. Srikanth and HS Prannoy, however, crashed out. Ajay Jayaram and the pair of Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy will be seen in action in the opening round later in the day.
