Saina Nehwal, Sai Praneeth storm into quarterfinals of Macau Open

In Badminton, Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Sai Praneeth today stormed into the quarterfinals of Macau Open Grand Prix Gold tournament.In women's singles event, Saina, who is the top seed, came back from a game behind to beat Dinar Dyah Ayustine of Indonesia, 17-21, 21-18, 21-12, in the second round match. Saina has, recently, recovered from a knee injury. She had bowed out in the opening round of China Open and made an exit in the last-8 at Hong Kong.In the Men's Singles, Sai Praneeth defeated 5th seeded Wing Ki Vincent from Hong Kong in straight games 21-15, 21-17 to advance in the last-8 stage. However, P. Kashyap bowed out after losing in the pre-quarterfinals to Yu Hsien Lin of Chinese Taipei, 13-21, 20-22.In the Men's Doubles, the pair of Sumeeth Reddy and Manu Attri made an exit in the second round.Rio Olympics Silver medalist PV Sindhu is not taking part in this competition.
