Saina Nehwal retains Singles Title in the Syed Modi tournament

Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has retained her title by winning the final of Women's Singles tournament in 1,20,000 US dollars' Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold Badminton Championship in Lucknow today. Saina defeated world number one, Spanish Carolina Marin by 19-21, 25-23 and 21-16 in a tough match lasted for one hour twenty minutes. In Mens' Singles final, India's P Kashyap defeated his compatriot K Srikanth in straight sets by 23-21, 23-21. AIR Correspondent reports that in the Men's Doubles match the Danish pair Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen? defeated ?Russian pair Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov in straight sets by 21-09 and 22-20. Whereas in the Women's Doubles, Malaysian Amelia Alicia Anscelly and Fei Cho Soong defeated their compatriot pair Vivian Kah Mun Hoo and Khe Wei Woon in straight sets with 22-20 and 21-15. In the Mixed Doubles final, Indonesian pair of Riky Widianto and Pushplata Richi Dili defeated Indian pair Manu Attri and K Maneesha in straight sets by 21-17, 21-17.
