Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal has reached the semifinals of All England Championships at Birmingham after thrashing Wang Yihan of China for the first time in more than two years. In a 39-minute contest, Saina beat fifth seeded Wang, 21-19, 21-6. Earlier the Chinese had an intimidating 8-1 overall record against Saina.Saina will now face another Chinese Sun Yu in the semifinals who advanced after her Thai rival, eighth seed Ratchanok Intanon retired midway through the match. Sun was then leading 21-11, 19-21, 19-13.
