Saina Nehwal, PV Sindhu and H S Prannoy have entered the second round in the singles events of the Hong Kong Super Series badminton tournament. In the women's singles at Kowloon today, Sindhu defeated Y Y Leung of Hong Kong 21-18, 21-10, Saina outwitted Mette Poulsen of Denmark, also in straight games 21-19 23-21. In the Men's singles, Prannoy overcame Yun Hu of Hong Kong in three games 19-21, 21-17, 21-15. However, Parupalli Kashyap, Sourabh Verma and Sai Praneeth failed to cross the opening hurdle and bowed out of the competition. Kashyap squandered an opening game advantage to go down narrowly 21-15, 9-21, 20-22 to Korean Lee Dong Keun. Sourabh lost to Indonesia's Tommy Sugiarto in straight games 15-21 8-21 while Sai Praneeth was beaten by Korean Wan Ho So in straight games.
