Saina Nehwal enters quarterfinals of Hong Kong Open

In Badminton, ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal today stormed into the quarter-finals of Hong Kong Open Super Series tournament after defeating Sayaka Sato of Japan, 21-18, 9-21, 21-16 in the second round.Saina has returned from a knee injury and had made a first round exit in the recently concluded China Open.The winner of that tournament, Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu will play her pre-quarterfinal later today. She will take on Hsu Ya Ching of Chinese Taipei. Sindhu will be eying to come up with a good performance in the tournament to qualify for next month's Dubai World Super Series Finals. In the Men's section, Sameer Verma advanced to the last-8 after beating Japanese Kazumasa Sakai, 19-21, 21-15, 21-11. HS Prannoy, however, made an exit.
