Saina Nehwal enters pre-quarterfinals of Indonesia Open

In Badminton, Saina Nehwal today entered the pre-quarterfinals of Indonesia Open Superseries Premier tournament in Jakarta. In the opening round, Saina came back from a game behind to beat higher seed Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, 17-21, 21-18, 21-12. It was Saina's eighth victory over the Thai.Rio Olympics Silver medalist PV Sindhu, who is seeded fourth, will play her opening round match later today. She will also meet a Thai, Pornpawee Chochuwong.B. Sai Praneeth, who has already won two titles this year, including the Thailand Open recently, will begin his challenge tomorrow, along with other Indian shuttlers in Men's Singles, Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy.In Mixed Doubles, the pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and B. Sumeeth Reddy bowed out in the first round today.
