Saina Nehwal has entered the women's singles final of the World Badminton Championships. In the second semi-final at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta on Saturday, the World Number Two Indian defeated Lindaweni Fanetri of Indonesia in straight games 21-17, 21-17. Saina will now take on top seeded Spaniard Carolina Marin in the final. In the first semi-final on Saturday, Marin had defeated South Korean eighth seed Sung Ji-hyun in three games 21-17, 15-21, 21-16. For Saina it is her maiden final in the championships. In her previous appearances at the prestigious event, she had never progressed beyond the quarter-finals.
