Indian shuttlers Saina Nehwal and K. Srikanth today lifted the China Open Singles Trophies for the first time. In their respective Finals at Fuzhou, while the Olympic Bronze medalist Saina defeated the unseeded Japanese Akane Yamaguchi, 21-12, 22-20, Srikanth beat two-time Olympic champion and five-time world champion Lin Dan of China, in straight games, 21-19, 21-17.This is Saina's third title of 2014. She had won the Indian Open Grand Prix Gold and the Australian Super Series earlier this year. She had also bagged Bronze medal at the Incheon Asian Games.For Srikanth, this is the first title of the season. He had won the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold event last year.
