Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap have entered the singles quarterfinals of the Indonesian Open Super Series badminton tournament. In the women's singles in Jakarta, Saina Nehwal, who slipped to world number 3 in the rankings today, defeated Chinse Taipei's Ya Ching Hsu in straight games 21-13, 21-15 in a 36-minute contest. Second seeded Saina has now set up a clash with old foe Shixian Wang in the women's singles quarters. In the Men's Singles, world number 12 Kashyap posted an upset win over World No. 5, Son Wan Ho of Korea, 21-11, 21-14 in just 36 minutes. Kashyap will now take on top seed Chen Long in the last eight stage. However, Kidambi Srikanth bowed out, after going down to lower-ranked Ginting Anthony of Indonesia in three games 21-14, 20-22, 13-21. Meanwhile, it was curtains for the Indians in the doubles events.
