Saina Nehwal today defeated Chinese Taipei's Chia Hsin Li in the India Super Series Badminton Tournament to reach the second round of the competition. The tournament is being held in New Delhi. Saina beat Li 21-10, 21-17.In men's singles, Samir Verma and B. Sai Praneeth won their respective first round matches. Ajay Jayaram and H.S. Parannoy are slated to play their first round men's single matches today. Meanwhile, the women's singles match between P.V. Sindhu and her compatriot Arundhati Pantawane is now underway.
