Defending champion Saina Nehwal has advanced to the semi-finals of the Indonesian Open Super Series badminton tournament. In the quarter-finals in Jakarta today, the fourth seeded Saina defeated 8th seeded Tine Baun of Denmark in straight games 21-19, 21-19. Saina's opponent in the semi-finals will be 9th seed Shao Chieh Cheng of Chinese Taipeh. In her quarter-final match, Cheng overcame the challenge from Xin Liu of China.
