PV Sindhu will start her campaign later today against another Indonesian, Maria Kusumastuti. Kidambi Srikanth will clash with Korea's Lee Dong Keun in the first round. The pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa crashed out of the tournament after losing to the Korean pair of Chang Ye Na and Lee So Hee, 15-21, 9-21. The duo of Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy also bowed out.
