Sahitya Akademi has invited applications for Yuva Puraskar to encourage young writers writing in Indian languages. Sahitya Akademi under Ministry of Culture had introduced 'Yuva Puraskar' in 2011 to encourage young writers, who are below the age of 35. A total of 106 awards have been given to the best book by young Indian writers so far. The awards comprise an amount of 50 thousand rupees, a plaque and a citation.<br/><br/>The Ministry said, for Yuva Puraskar 2017, Sahitya Akademi is inviting books from publishers and young Indian writers in all the 24 languages recognized by the Akademi. Last date of submission is 30th of September this year.
