Saffron terror issue disrupted proceedings in Rajya Sabha today

The saffron terror issue today disrupted proceedings in the Rajya Sabha. It was first adjourned for 15 minutes and later till noon. As the House met for the day, Manohar Joshi of Shiv Sena was joined by BJP seeking suspension of question hour to take up the issue. Amidst heated exchanges between the opposition and treasury benches, the House was adjourned. There was no change in the situation after the first adjournment. The House was in turmoil immediately after the Leader of the opposition; Arun Jaitely said the Home minister should have desisted from making such a statement. He said militancy in the country is never identified with any religion or community. Ram Vilas Paswan of LJP who supported the Home Minister's statement evoked sharp response from the BJP leading to the adjournment of the House for the second time.
