In Jammu and Kashmir, three-day Saffron festival has started in Pampore town of Pulwama district, about 14 kilometers from Summer Capital, Srinagar. This festival is organised by State Tourism department to interact with the growers of saffron and to boost and uplift their trade. On Wednesday, the State Tourism Minister Nawang Rigzan Jora has inaugurated the festival.
