India has defeated Maldives 5-0 booking a semifinal berth in the ongoing SAFF under 16 Football Championship Tournament. In the group A match played at Kathmandu today the Indian boys were on the attack from the time the match started. Laldanta Sanga scored twice while, Daniel Lahlimpua, Raja Rawat and Prakash Mazumdar scored one each. Even with a man down after Lalrammuara was sent off in the 61st minute for getting a second yellow card , Maldives could not take the advantage. Pakistan has already reached the knockout semifinal round from group A .
