India will take on Afghanistan in the summit clash of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship in New Delhi on Sunday. In the semi-finals played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday, defending champions India beat Maldives 3-1 to enter the final. Afghanistan entered the finals defeating Nepal by one-nil. For India, star striker Sunil Chhetri struck twice after Rahim Nabi gave the lead in the 24th minute. Shamweel Qasim was the scorer for Maldives in the 60th minute. For Afghanistan, it is their first football finals in a major tournament.
