India lost their last league match against Defending Champions Maldives today to finish second in Group A of the Bangabandhu SAFF Championships. Maldives defeated India by two goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium at Dhaka to finish on top of the group. India had already ensured a semifinal berth on Monday defeating Nepal and Afghanistan its first two matches. The men in blue will now play against group B toppers Bangladesh in the semifinal on Friday while Maldives will take on Srilanka in the second semifinal.
