India will take on Sri Lanka in their opening group match of the 11th South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala today. The match will kick off at 6:30 PM.India is in Pool-A alongside Sri Lanka and Nepal. Pakistan was the fourth team in the group but it had pulled out before the start of the tournament. In the tournament opener on Wednesday, Sri Lanka had defeated Nepal, 1-0.Yesterday, in the first two Group-B matches, defending champions Afghanistan outplayed Maldives with a 4-0 victory, while Bangladesh beat Bhutan, 3-1.
