External Affairs Ministry has said ensuring the safety and security of Indian diplomats and officials posted abroad and their families is a matter of highest priority for them.<br/><br/>In response to queries regarding the incident of armed intrusion into the residence of Consul General of India in Durban, MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, the matter has been taken up with the relevant authorities, and investigations are currently ongoing. He said, they are expecting that the intruders will be arrested soon. <br/><br/>Mr Kumar said, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has spoken to the Consul General and inquired about the well being of his family.
