Life in the most parts of the Uttarakhand has been disrupted due to chilly cold conditions following wide spread snowfall and rain in last 24 hours. However, clear weather conditions have been reported from certain parts of the state, whereas several other places reported cloud cover. Meanwhile, in the on going SAF winter games being held at Auli in Chamoli district, competitions have resumed after a day's delay on account of heavy snowfall.Bone chilling conditions that prevail in the most parts of the state have affected the routine life in a major way. Even as the sun shined in some parts of the Garhwal region, but there has been no respite from the cold. At various places power and water supply have been severely affected. In some of the districts road connectivity to the remote areas has been snapped. Meanwhile, events of slalom and Nordic have restarted at Auli. According to Director Met Department, Anand Sharma, there is slight possibility of snowfall at higher reaches in coming 24 hours.
