In Punjab , Shiromani Akali Dal has announced eight more candidates in the fifth list of the party's candidates for the Punjab Assembly elections.In a statement on Monday, party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema disclosed that party has nominated former Indian Hockey team Captain and former Director sports, Pargat Singh for Jalandhar Cantt seat.He said that party has now declared a total of 93 candidates and the candidate for Nabha seat would be declared soon, as the party is contesting on 94 seats while its alliance partner BJP is contesting 23 seats.
