Sachin bid farewell to cricket with a heavy heart as he gave his final emotional speech at his home ground at Wankhede stadium, today. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Sachin thanked all his near and dear ones for their immense support in taking forward his career.He first thanked his father, late Ramesh Tendulkar and said that for whatever he is today, the credit goe to his father who advised him to chase dreams and avoid short-cuts. He thanked was his mother for all her support, prayers and sacrifices.Sachin thanked his aunt and uncle, as he remembered the days when he stayed with them for schooling purpose and they took care of him.He also thanked his eldest brother Nitin for all his support and encouragement.Thanking his sister, Sachin said his first cricket bat was presented by sister Savita. She still continues to fast during his batting. Sachin thanked his doctors for keeping him fit and treating him in odd houres .He remembered his manager late Mark Mascarenhas and also thanked the current management team WSG, for continuing what Mark has done. With gratitude, Sachin thanked the media for all their coverage on him, right from the time he started his career, to this very day and said that the media had a positive impact on him.Sachin was very grateful to all his fans for their immense love and support throughout his journey as a cricketer.The cricket legend with a good-bye concluded that time has flied so quickly, but memories will always be alive in his heart.
