Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League(IPL) soon after Mumbai Indians won their maiden title defeating Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs in the finalon sunday night. Tendulkar said at the end of the Mumbai Indians' victory that he waited 21 years to be part of the world cup winning team and for the IPL victory he had to wait for only six years. Sachin said that this victory is special for him as he will not be playing in the IPL in the next season.He expressed happiness that it was a perfect send off.Speaking on being part of the Mumbai Indians team, Sachin said that he had enjoyed his six seasons of IPL with Mumbai Indians. He added that this season was superb as his team won the tournament. This is the second format from which Tendulkar has announced his retirement after having called quits from the ODIs in December before the series against Pakistan.
