Sabir Ali files defamation case against Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

Former JD(U) leader Sabir Ali has filed a defamation case against BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for his alleged remarks.

Earlier, addressing a press meet in New Delhi on Sunday he claimed that BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's allegations against him are baseless and the leader must apologize for his remarks. Ali further claimed that he has not been expelled from the BJP but his membership is put on hold until the party completes its internal probe.

Ali said, Naqvi had known him from his JD (U) days but he never raised these issues then. Minutes after Ali was inducted in the BJP on Friday, Naqvi in a tweet had alleged that Sabir had links with terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen chief Yasin Bhatkal.
