In Kerala, Congress led opposition walked out of State Assembly today blaming serious lapses on the part of the State Government in ensuring adequate security at Pullumedu, Sabarimala where 102 pilgrims were killed in a stampede on 14th of last month on makara sankranthi day. The opposition pointed out that presence of more than 1500 vehicles in the forest area during the time of accident indicates corruption and lack of co-ordination among different departments. The replies of Devaswam and Home Ministers that all possible steps were taken and judicial enquiry has been ordered did not satisfy the opposition. After creating noisy scenes and disrupting the proceedings for ten minutes, the entire opposition walked out in protest.
