Members of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) will meet this week on Wednesday and Thursday at Kathmandu. During the annual meeting of Programming Committee a number of issues including budget of SAARC secretariat and its 5 regional centres and regular activities of the Associtation will be discussed. <br/><br/>Senior officials of eight member countries will participate in the meeting. Indian delegation will be lead by Joint Secretary (SAARC). This is the first senior level meeting of Association since postponement of 19th SAARC Summit in November last year.<br/> <br/>Nepal, current chair of the SAARC, had decided to postpone the summit after four nations Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh and India requested for it following escalation of tension between India and Pakistan.
